SigEps and Freemasons - Partnership

Patrick Murphrey sends this description of mixing Fraternity with Fraternity. The partnership is beneficial to both groups.
Since I joined Bremond Lodge #241, I’ve made it one of my missions to increase the fraternal relations between Masonry and the college fraternity. A strong relationship now exists between Bremond Lodge and the Sigma Phi Epsilon (“SigEp”) chapter at Christopher Newport University.

Over the last several years, my lodge has provided it’s facilities to the SigEp chapter to use for its initiation ceremonies. This has led to inquiries about Masonry and has helped bring 10 SigEps into my lodge. The great thing to remember is that success breeds success. When one fraternity man has a great experience with Masonry, he brings his friends to join him.

Also last year, myself and Bremond’s current Worshipful Master Jack Holland played in the SigEp Chapter’s charity golf tournament. In consequence of his support of SigEp, the chapter recently initiated the Wor. Jack Holland as an Honorary Member.
