UT frat suspended for two weeks

Pi Kappa Alpha at Tennessee is in trouble
Three pledges were hospitalized in January, UT initially reported. One family member told the News Sentinel the three had staph infections. The students were treated and released. UT announced its investigation into hazing allegations the week of Jan. 14.

The Dean of Students Office took action Monday after the national Pi Kappa Alpha organization notified them of their decision to place the UT chapter on administrative suspension, according to a statement from UT.

In a separate action, UT's Student Judicial Affairs presented the chapter with charges of hazing and violation of a state or federal law. The chapter pled guilty to the charges the student group presented, but no charges have come from UT Police.
