Nebraska-Lincoln Student Injured in Fall

UNL student hurt in fall from fraternity house window

LINCOLN — A University of Nebraska-Lincoln student was hospitalized today after falling out of a fraternity window.
The 18-year-old freshman suffered head and back injuries after falling out of a third-story window at the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house, police said.
The accident was reported at 3:20 a.m.
Police believe alcohol was a factor, said Carl Oestmann, the UNL police department's director of patrol operations.
It was the fourth time since 1999 that a UNL student has been injured in a fall from a fraternity house.Alcohol was a factor in each of the accidents, according to police reports.
