AA Meeting at Conclave

(No, this is not a joke.)

Once again this year there will be an opportunity for SigEps (and guests) who are "Friends of Bill W." To attend an informal meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous while at Conclave.

The meeting is scheduled for Friday evening at 9:00pm in the Inman room. The information will also be in the registration booklet.

We are glad to pass this information along to anyone who would like to attend. This will be an open meeting. Meetings of this type are open to alcoholics and their families and to anyone interested in solving a personal drinking problem or helping someone else to solve such a problem.

We do have a request, however. The person who was planning to lead the meeting has a scheduling conflict. If you are a member of AA and are willing to do some "service work" by leading the meeting please send an email to and we will help you get set up.
Alcoholics Anonymous® is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
