This year, the program has consisted of a month-long event of different groups and organizations joining in to read to the Head Start children.

As part of the Community Reading Challenge Sigma Phi Epsilon, a fraternity from UMR, and Zeta Tau Alpha were invited to participate in a reading competition to see who could send the most volunteers from their organizations to the Head Start center to read to the students. The winner of that competition will be announced at the March parent meeting. The winner will be given a plaque and certificate of recognition.
