Head Start participates in reading challenge

SigEps at UM-Rolla are helping out Head Start with the Reading Challenge.
The Rolla Head Start program has been participating in the Community Reading Challenge for 2007.

This year, the program has consisted of a month-long event of different groups and organizations joining in to read to the Head Start children.
As part of the Community Reading Challenge Sigma Phi Epsilon, a fraternity from UMR, and Zeta Tau Alpha were invited to participate in a reading competition to see who could send the most volunteers from their organizations to the Head Start center to read to the students. The winner of that competition will be announced at the March parent meeting. The winner will be given a plaque and certificate of recognition.
Best of luck, all of you. Looks like everyone is a winner here. The Rolla Daily News - News
