Cole Streets said even though he has moved back to his home in Fort Myers, he has received dozens of cell phone messages, e-mails and Internet threats from brothers from the suspended UCF chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon. We fail to see how those who are making the threats are in any way living up to the principles they claim to hold. Probably this is coming from one or two 'hotheads' who think they are upholding the "honor" of the fraternity. The problem is that the idiots who are doing it are showing the whole chapter, the whole of SigEp, and the whole college fraternity system in the worst possible light. How many High School Seniors - and parents - are going to see this news and decide that fraternity life is not for them?
Streets' lawyer said the threats prove the fraternity has not learned anything from its suspension.
Where is/was the AVC? The Chapter Counselor? District Governor? RD? Was this chapter completely rudderless?
