New Residence Hall at Ball State Named for Dr. Don Park

Ball State nas named their newest residence hall after vice-president for university advancement emeritus Dr. Don Park. The university's board of trustees made the decision in recognition of both Park's years of service and the generations-long relationship relationship of the park family has had with Ball State.
Don retired from the university in June, 2006. He received his bachelor degree in 1961, alongside his mother; in 1963 he received his master's as his wife, Claire, received her bachelor's. Park returned to the university in 1966 as assistant professor of education administration. During his 14 year tenure as vice-president, Park completed four capital campaigns and expanded development through grants, alumni giving, and marketing. He also served Phi Delta Kappa Educational Honorary as associate executive director from 1977-92, and served as an Indiana state senator.
His work with the Ball State Sig Ep chapter has been a driving force in attaining the funds for their great housing effort.
